Drury Women's Golf Team In Sixth Place in Opening Day of Ark. State Lady Red Wolf Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. - The Drury University women's golf squad sits in sixth place after posting a 632 total in the opening round of the Arkansas State/Lady Red Wolf Classic Monday at the Jonesboro Country Club.

Host Arkansas State leads the team competition with a 612 total, eight strokes ahead of Murray State University in the 13-team field.

Sophomores Katrina Choate and Aubree Vaughan fired two round scores of 157 and are tied for 17th to lead the Panthers. Senior Katie Wilburn posted a 159 and is tied for 24th, senior Allison Rasnick shot 160 and is tied for 27th and junior Susan Allen shot a 166 and is tied for 46th.

Cassie Huffer of Arkansas State is the individual leader with a 149 in the meet, which concludes on Tuesday.

Plemmons, a redshirt freshman, registered her first career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in just 16 minutes of playing time to help Drury beat Quincy in the GLVC Tournament quarterfinals Sunday at Weiser.
