FLORENCE, Ala. - The Drury men's golf squad shot a 296 today to finish fourth at the TVA Credit Union Classic hosted by the University of North Alabama here on Tuesday.
Panther junior Thomas Hay tied for third with scores of 68,71 (139) and junior Kyle Martin was seventh with a 70,73 (143).
Missouri Southern captured the team title with a 568, three strokes ahead of Arkansas Tech and five strokes better than host North Alabama. Drury was fourth with 579 and West Georgia rounded out the top five with 582 in the 10-team field.
Other Drury scores and places included a 72,76 (158) from freshman Shawn Vanderwal, tied for 19th; a 73,76 (149) from junior Andrew Funk (T28); and a 75,89 (164) from senior Sam Steelman (T48).
DU sophomore Nick Sheppard, competing as an individual in the meet, also shot a 70,76 (146) and tied for 15th.
