Garcia Santos Finishes Third at ITA National Small College Championships

MOBILE, Ala. - Drury senior Antonio Garcia Santos defeated Yair Banuelos of Western New Mexico 6-3,6-2 to take third place at the ITA National Small College Championships at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center on Saturday.

No. 1 seed Philip Pakebusch of Valdosta State captured the championship with a 7-5,6-2 win over Andrey Boldarev of Concordia College.

"Antonio played very smart and aggressive and was consistent today.  He had a good tournament and has proven he is among the elite players in the country,"said Head Coach Luc Godin. 

The Drury men's tennis team will be at the Apache Invitational in Tyler, Texas on October 23-24.
