Nationally fourth-ranked Drury closed out its regular season with a 4-0 non-conference victory over Northeastern State to cap Senior Day festivities Friday at Harrison Stadium.
Senior Steve Wilczewski scored two goals and senior Andrew Bordelon added another as the Panthers moved to 17-1-0 on the season. Northeastern State fell to 8-7.
Drury used the match as a tuneup for Sunday's opening round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament, where the top-seeded Panthers will play host to No. 8 seed Missouri-St. Louis in a 1 p.m. match at Harrison.
Wilczewski got the Panthers on the board first with his goal with 19 minutes left in the first half off junior Micah Whorton's team-leading 12th assist of the season, for a 1-0 DU lead that would stand through halftime.
The Panthers then put it out of reach with goals from Wilczewski - his team-leading 14th of the season and 32nd of his career, moving him into a tie for second all-time on the DU scoring charts - as well as Bordelon's ninth of the season and the second of the year from junior David Emnett to win going away.
Sophomore keeper Stephen Conner registered his school-record 11th shutout of the season and the 12th of the season by the Panthers, also a team record.
Prior to the contest, Drury recognized seniors Wilczewski, Bordelon, Ben Nabers and Jake Allison for their outstanding careers, including their roles in producing the most successful season in DU soccer history.
