Missouri State Sweeps Drury in Dual Meet

The Missouri State men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept Drury with the men winning 165-78 and the women posting a 144 to 97 victory in their dual meet Saturday night at the Hammons Center Pool.
The Panther women won six of the 13 swimming events with junior Yuan Qing Li breaking a pool record (2:07.23) in her 200 IM victory. Drury freshman Tiffany Van Dongen captured a pair of victories in the 100 and 200 free. Senior Abbey Musch (200 Breast) and junior Li Tao (50 Free) also captured wins on the evening. The DU women notched a victory in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:34.43.
In the men's meet, Missouri State won 11 of the 13 events with DU sophomore Jun Han Kim picking up the Panther wins in the 200 Breast and 200 IM.
Both Drury teams return to action next Friday, with the men hosting Missouri Science and Technology and the women hosting the University of Kansas in a 2 p.m. start.
Missouri State and Drury will have a rematch on January 22 at the Breech Pool.
