DU Women's Golf Finishes Ninth At Oral Roberts Shootout

TULSA, Okla. - Sophomore Katrina Choate finished 21st individually, pacing Drury to a ninth-place team finish in the Bob Hurley Auto/Oral Roberts Shootout that concluded Tuesday at the par-72 Meadowbrook Country Club.

Drury shot rounds of 327 and 326 in Tuesday's 36 holes of play to finish with a 976 total, 41 strokes behind winner and host Oral Roberts. 

Choate had rounds of 83 and 78 on Tuesday to finish at 239. Other Drury scores and finishes were senior Katie Wilburn in a tie for 36th place (83-77-83 243), junior Susan Allen in 48th place (80-86-82), senior Allison Rasnick in a tie for 50th (85-81-84 250) and sophomore Aubree Vaughan in a tie for 53rd (82-86-83 251).

Senior Cortney Shewmaker, competing as an individual for DU, shot 90-78-85 for a 253 total and a tie for 57th place.

Angela Drane of Louisana-Monroe was the individual champion with scores of 76-70-78 224.

Drury returns to action next Monday and Tuesday in Jonesboro, Ark., in the Lady Wolves Classic to conclude the fall portion of their schedule.

Hopkins also was selected to the all-tournament team after picking up a team-high 41 kills with a .349 attack percentage in helping the Panthers to a 1-3 finish in the Extended Stay Invitational in Anchorage, Alaska, last weekend.

Warren was named to the all-tournament team after registering 123 assists and 40 digs and helping the Panthers to a 1-3 finish at the Extended Stay Seven Invitational in Anchorage, Alaska.
