Bookmark and Share
After an overflow turnout for last month's inaugural event, the second Panther Party of the year is now set for Tuesday, November 10 at the Doubletree Hotel in northeast Springfield.

The Panther Party is a social/after hours event bringing together members of the Drury Athletics department and fans/boosters of the programs in a fun and informative format. It runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Gracie's room at the Doubletree (corner of E. Kearney and N. Glenstone), and features plenty of social and mingling time with Drury coaches and athletes sandwiched around a 30-minute program that previews upcoming DU teams and their events as well as the latest news on topics such as the O'Reilly Family Events Center, the final season in Weiser Gym and upcoming special events.

Scheduled to appear on Nov. 10 and provide season previews are Drury men's basketball coach Steve Hesser, Drury women's basketball coach Steve Harold and Drury men's and women's swimming coach Brian Reynolds. In addition, men's soccer coach Ryan Swan, volleyball coach Ashleigh Shear and cross country coach Jon Van Arkel will provide brief previews of what lies ahead for their teams in the post-season. Many will bring selected athletes to be introduced at the event, giving DU fans a chance to meet in a social atmosphere some of the familiar names and faces they see excelling athletically.

The Panther Party features a free appetizer bar for our fans, along with a cash bar available for beverages. The latest in Drury gear and merchandise is available for sale on-site, and the program concludes each time with a raffle giveaway of several DU clothing items and valuable coupons from the adjacent Houlihan's restaurant. Panther Party attendees are encouraged to stick around and make it an evening by taking advantage of the Panther Party specials in Houlihan's the remainder of the evening.

There is no need to RSVP for the Panther Party ... just show up, and bring a friend!
