KENOSHA, Wis. - Led by the 77th place finish of senior Stephanie Cowherd, the Drury women's cross country team finished in 18th place in the NCAA-II Midwest Regional held here on Saturday.
Cowherd crossed the line in the 6K race in 24:42, 10 spots ahead of freshman teammate Lindsay Dukewits (25:11). Christina Muir of Ferris State was the individual champion in 21:34, leading her team to a third-place finish.
Grand Valley State won the meet with 26 points, followed by runner-up Southern Indiana (76). Those two and Ferris State earned team bids into the NCAA-II Championships in two weeks in Evansville, Ind.
