LOCKPORT, Ill. - Drury University's women's golf squad sits in second place after the opening round of the Lewis Aviator Classic played Sunday at the Prairie Bluff Golf Club.
Freshman
Aubree Vaughan shot a 77 and is tied for sixth to lead the Panthers individually, while junior Katie Wilburn is seventh and a shot back at 78. Redshirt freshman
Katrina Choate had a 79 and is in 10th place. Southern Indiana's Jess Dooley, Lewis' Jamie Siedlaczek and Northern Kentucky's Alicia Stauffacher had 3-over-par 75s each to set the pace individually.
Other Drury scores were an 81 (T14) for
Susan Allen and an 82 (T18) by junior Allison Rasnick.
Drury posted a 315 team total and trails leader Southern Indiana by four strokes in the 12-team field entering Monday's final 18 holes.
