DU Women's Tennis Falls 5-0 To No. 6 Abilene Christian In NCAA-II Round Of 16

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - The Drury women's tennis team fell behind 3-0 after doubles and never recovered in dropping a 5-0 decision to sixth-ranked Abilene Christian in the NCAA-II Round of 16 here on Wednesday afternoon.

The Panthers finished the season with a 22-5 mark, while Abilene Christian moved to 26-5.

Drury lost identical 8-5 decisions in the three doubles matches to face an 0-3 deficit, then watched Abilene Christian win the first set in each of the six singles matches. The match ended when ACU picked up victories at No. 3 singles, as Jaclyn Walker defeated Khrystsina Tryboi 6-0, 6-2, and at No. 6, when Natalie Friend beat Lindsey Castrodale 6-2, 6-1 for the fifth point.

Warren was named to the all-tournament team after registering 123 assists and 40 digs and helping the Panthers to a 1-3 finish at the Extended Stay Seven Invitational in Anchorage, Alaska.

Hopkins also was selected to the all-tournament team after picking up a team-high 41 kills with a .349 attack percentage in helping the Panthers to a 1-3 finish in the Extended Stay Invitational in Anchorage, Alaska, last weekend.
