After more than six weeks without a meet, the Drury men's and women's swimmers and divers return to action on Thursday when they hook up with Missouri State in a dual meet at Drury's Breech Pool.

Diving preliminaries will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., with the meet beginning at 5 p.m. between the NCAA Division II Panthers and D-I Bears. They meet on October 31 at MSU's Hammons Center Pool, with the host Bears taking the men's match 165-78 and the women's meet by a 144-97 score.

Drury swept the Bears last January at Breech, winning the men's meet 136-105 and the women's 147-95. Both Panther squads went on to claim D-II national championships in Houston, Texas, two months later, which marked a fifth consecutive national title for the DU men and second in three seasons for the women.

Coach Brian Reynolds' squads have been idle since the DU men finished second and the women fifth in the Mizzou Invitational in Columbia on Dec. 4-6.

Drury concludes the home portion of its schedule on Saturday, playing host to fellow D-II power Truman State in men's and women's meets starting at 1 p.m. at Breech.

Swimming fans arriving for both DU home meets this week are advised to arrive early for both, as parking will be at a premium with Drury also hosting mens/women's basketball double-headers at the same time both days. Free parking for the general public is available at the extreme east end of the lot adjacent to Breech and Weiser Gym (just to the East) across Summit Street.
