Drury's defending national champion swimming and diving squads swept a dual meet with Truman State on Saturday at the Breech Pool, winning the men's meet 167-64 and taking the women's competition 157-78 to close out the home portion of the schedule for both Panther squads.
Drury honored its four women's seniors - Abbey Musch, Jing Hua, Deidre Rosel and Lauren Bader - and its lone men's senior, Alexander Protsenko, in pre-game ceremonies on Senior Day.
Then the Panthers proceeded to dominate the visiting Bulldogs in the water, winning 11 of 13 events on the women's side and 12 of 13 in the men's meet.
Double-winners for the DU women included sophomore Erin Dolan in the 1650 Free and 500 Free; freshman Tiffany Van Dongen in the 200 Free and 100 Free; and freshman Deanna Sorenson in the 400 IM and the 200 Breast. Bader also captured both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions.
Other wins for the Panthers came from Hua in the 50 Free and freshman Molly Brown in the 200 Back.
On the men's side, sophomore Mark Grijalva was the lone double-winner with victories in the 400 IM and the 500 Free in addition to freshman Dwight Baker's triumphs in the two diving events.
Also taking events for the Panthers were freshman Alex Barto in the 1650 Free, junior Sergiy Bilov in the 200 Free, freshman Carlos Viveros in the 50 Free, sophomore Jun Han Kim in the 100 Fly, Protsenko in the 100 Free, freshman Taylor Westby in the 100 Back and sophomore Jesse Lawrence in the 100 Back.
