Four DU Cross Country Runners Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Squad

The Drury men's cross country programs has placed four runners on the USTFCCCA All-Academic squad, the organization announced on Thursday.
Derek Berry, Geoff Hughes, Jaime Villa Zapatero and Chris Yates are among 152 NCAA Division II runners nationally named to the elite list of student-athletes.
To qualify for All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have completed at least 12 semester hours through the semester of competition at the institution to be eligible. The student-athlete must have at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have placed in the top 30 percent of the total number of athletes eligible to compete at the respective NCAA-II regional championships or have placed in the top 50 percent of the field at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships.
Berry is a junior Architecture major from Crestwood, Kentucky; Hughes is a senior Computer Information Systems major from Raytown; Villa Zapatero is a junior Management and Marketing major from Madrid, Spain; and Yates is a junior Pre-Pharmacy major from Ozark for the Panthers of coach Jon Van Arkel.
