Drury has begun a national search for a new softball coach after announcing that former coach Annie Medico will not return for the 2010-11 campaign.
Drury Director of Athletics Pat Atwell says the Panthers hope to have a new coach in place as soon as possible for a program that will be beginning its fourth season of existence next fall.
Medico coached Drury the first three seasons, compiling a 56-107 record in that time. The Panthers finished 22-30 this past season, including a 12-13 mark in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
The returnees for DU Softball next season include senior-to-be pitcher Kelsea Garthoff, a Third Team All-GLVC selection who set program records with her 16 victories and 192.2 innings pitched this season, as well as top players in senior outfielder Ashley Balasz, junior infielder Amber Hayden and sophomore first baseman Denise Taylor.
