The Drury basketball Panthers have added guard DaQuan Brown to their roster for the 2010-11 campaign.
Brown is a 6-foot junior who played the past two seasons at Southeastern Illinois College, where he helped the Falcons to a 24-11 record, a Region 24 championship and an eighth-place finish at the national junior college tournament. Brown averaged 6.8 points, 2.6 assists and 1.9 rebounds last season.
Brown is a native of Hopkinsville, Ky., where he attended University Heights Academy.
"We really like DaQuan's athleticism and his versatility in being able to handle either the point guard or shooting guard role," Drury coach Steve Hesser said. "We believe he will be an excellent fit for Drury University and with our returning guys and the other new players we have recruited for the upcoming season."
Hesser's Panthers return four starters from a squad that finished 23-7 last season and qualified for the NCAA-II Tournament for the fourth time in the past five seasons.
