The general public will be able to pick out their seats online and purchase season tickets for Drury men's and women's basketball in the new O'Reilly Family Event Center beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 9.
The re-seating process for current season ticket-holders in the new $13.5 million, 3,100-seat arena on the Drury campus has been completed, with the public now able to select their seats, which begin at $160 each for the season. Fans can log-in to
www.drurytickets.com to select their seats and tickets starting on Monday.
The O'Reilly Family Event Center is slated for an October grand opening, with special events to include a "Sneak Peek" night at the Panthers and Lady Panthers basketball teams on October 15. Both Drury squads will play their first official games in the new arena on Saturday, November 13, when the Lady Panthers face Northeastern State at 2 p.m. and the Panthers will take on Upper Iowa at 6 p.m.
Coach Steve Hesser's Panthers finished 23-7 last season, won their third Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division title in five years as a league member and made their fourth NCAA-II Tournament appearance in the past six years last season. The Panthers feature top returnees in reigning GLVC Freshman of the Year and returning top scorer Alex Hall as well as junior guard Dennon Mitchell.
Coach Steve Harold's Lady Panthers are coming off a 28-7 campaign that produced their second GLVC Championship in three years and an eighth straight NCAA-II Tournament trip, where DU fell to top-seeded Michigan Tech in the Sweet 16 last March. The Lady Panthers are led by their talented backcourt of senior point guard Ja'Nell Jones and junior guard Katie Pritchard, the nation's leader in 3-point percentage last season.
