Lady Panthers ranked 11th by Women's Division II Bulletin

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury Lady Panthers are ranked 11th in NCAA-II by the Women's Division II Bulletin.

Defending national champion Ashland is ranked number one by the publication while Colorado State-Pueblo is ranked second and Valdosta State is third.

Drury returns three starters and five letter winners from a team that went 30-4, 17-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and advanced to the NCAA-II Midwest Regional championship game in 2017. Head coach Molly Miller will enter her fourth season guiding the Drury women's basketball program and will look to blend four freshmen and one junior transfer to this year's squad.

The Women's Division II Bulletin also named Drury guard Heather Harman as a preseason honorable mention All-American. Harman, a senior from Walnut Grove, averaged 15.3 points and was second in the GLVC in assists averaging 4.4 per game. She was a First Team All-GLVC selection last year and was a Second Team All-Midwest Region pick.

The Lady Panthers open their 2017-18 schedule with an exhibition game against Columbia College on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. in the O'Reilly Family Event Center. Drury starts their regular season on Nov. 10 at Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville, Tennessee.

Season tickets for Drury basketball are on sale now and can be purchased at the O'Reilly Family Event Center box office or can be ordered by phone at (417) 873-6389.
