SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury Lady Panthers moved back into the top 10 in this week's WBCA / NCAA-II poll and are ranked ninth in the nation. Drury (5-1) was ranked 11
th last week and moved up two spots after wins at home over Arkansas-Fort Smith, 86-77, and Union, 87-79.
Ashland, the defending national champion, is ranked first in the poll followed by Alaska Anchorage in second and Bentley is ranked third.
Drury is the only team from the Great Lakes Valley Conference in the top 25. Southern Indiana received votes in the poll but is unranked.
The Lady Panthers open play in the Great Lakes Valley Conference this week. Thursday, Drury hosts Missouri-St. Louis at 5:30 p.m. and the Lady Panthers are home against McKendree on Saturday at 1 p.m.
