Lady Panthers moved to 8th in this week's NCAA-II poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury Lady Panthers are ranked eighth in this week's WBCA/NCAA-II coaches' poll. Drury was ranked seventh last week and dropped one spot as Bentley (11-1) moved from eighth to take over the number seven position in this week's poll.
 
The Lady Panthers are 11-1 and went 2-0 last week with wins in Hawaii over Montana State-Billings, 74-69, and Notre Dame (Ohio) 63-60.
 
This week's poll marks the 69th consecutive week Drury is ranked in the top 25 which is currently the longest such streak in the nation among NCAA-II women's programs.
 
Ashland (12-0) remained number one in this week's poll. West Texas A&M (11-0) moved up to second place, and Indiana (Pa.) (10-0) is third.
 
One other Great Lakes Valley Conference team is ranked in the top 25 as Southern Indiana is ranked 20th.
 
The Screaming Eagles are Drury's next opponent. The Lady Panthers are idle until Jan. 6 when they host Southern Indiana for a 1 p.m. game at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
