Chris Oleksiak

Chris Oleksiak will start his second year at Drury as an assistant coach for the men's and women's swimming & diving program in 2024-25. 

In his first year at Drury, the DU women's team won the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship and finished 3rd at the NCAA-II National Championships. The men's team was the NCAA-II Runner-Up and men's swimmer Davi Mourao won a national title in the 100 Breast. 

Oleksiak joined the Panthers in October of 2023 after serving as the Head Age Group Coach and Assistant Senior Coach at the Center Grove Aquatic Club and Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana.

At Center Grove, Oleksiak was selected to the Team Indiana Staff for the 2023 Duel in the Pool Meet. Oleksiak also led the CGAC Age Group program to their first top 10 finish at the Age Group meet since 2010. Helped lead the Senior program to top 5 finished at Senior State and the High School program to top 10 finished at High School state.

Before coaching at Center Grove, Oleksiak was the Head Swim Coach at Tri-West Swim Club, Tri-West Middle School, and the assistant coach at Tri-West High School in Lizton, Indiana. 

Oleksiak was the Head Age Group Coach and Assistant High School Swim Coach for the Franklin Regional Swim Team and Franklin Community High School in Franklin, Indiana. Oleksiak coached the state runner-up for both the boy and girl high school programs in 2019 at the IHSAA State Championship. 

Before becoming a swim coach, Oleksiak was an officer in the U.S. Army from 2010 to 2014. Oleksiak was responsible for the planning, coordinating, and supervision of the Battalion's logistical support system during deployments, field trainings, and garrison operations. Oleksiak was awarded the Army Achievement Medal of "Meritorious Service while serving as the Assistant Battalion Logistics Officer."

Oleksiak graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2011 with a Bachelor of General Studies, Arts and Humanities. Oleksiak also achieved a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors Universit in 2016.
